Women's Breast Health Initiative has Another Successful Year

October invokes thoughts of Susan G. Komen, breast cancer awareness, pink t-shirts and ribbons, etc. This October MAPS went out and got involved for breast cancer awareness with the same thoughts in mind. Women's Breast Health Initiative, an organization in the greater Miami devoted to informing and equipping women in preventing breast cancer, organized a campaign on Saturday, Oct.18th in South Dade. Barry University, yet again, made a great impression with MAPS and individual students attending to volunteer. 400 families were informed and/or assisted in getting free breast exams that morning thanks to all those that participated. Thanks to your involvement we made an impact in shortening the gap in minority groups' health disparities.
