Congrats, Congrats!
CONGRATULATIONS Barry MAPS for being the organization with the most community service participation in Barry's Student Organization Council (SOC).
Thanks to your involvement it was made possible. You all rock for donating your time to the community you live in!

Loving the Boobies All Over Miami
Those of you that couldn't make it, we truly hope to see your faces in the pictures below next time.
Barry Represents the Bucs Well!
As many of you know MAPS, AMSA, TriBeta Honor Society, and the BMS program teamed up to raise funds for the American Heart Association. We arranged a kickball tournament the weekend before the Heart Walk at FIU and collected around $200. The tournament also showed AMSA members to be the athletic champs of the Biomedical organizations. The collaboration surpassed the goal for fundraising by far with a total of $500+ collected in Barry's name for the Heart Association. Barry University was well represented with the large group from all these organizations and the large donation made on the school's behalf. We look forward to topping off this year's donation next time. Stay tuned to see Barry go big or go home again.

Pre-Health Organizations Raise Money to Fight Heart disease
Cardiovascular disease affects 1 in 3 adults in the
United States. The Barry natural and health sciences student organizations have
teamed up and will be participating at the 2012 Miami-Dade Heart Walk on October
6, 2012 to help raise awareness of this statistic as wells as funds to support
research and educational initiatives. In an event organized by the Minority
Association of Pre-Health Students (MAPS), pre-health organizations on campus
participated in a kickball tournament on Saturday September 29, raising $150,
with all proceeds going to the American Heart Association. So far, the teams
have raised $350+ overall. Participating student organizations included the
Barry chapters of MAPS, Tri Beta Biological Honor Society, American Medical
Student Association (AMSA), the Pre-Physician Assistant Association (PASA),
MALES, and the BMS society. To sign up or donate to the Barry student team
